What is Eco Tape Compostable?
Our Eco Tape Compostable is the adhesive tape which is biodegradable and compostable. Indeed, our product has been tested in TÜV’s laboratory for these features. The results show that 90% of this adhesive tape will self-biodegrade within a half of year due to its PLA film’s natural origin. When composted with other bio-trash for 90 days, it would be fragmented into sieves less than 2mm in diagram.

Eco Tape Compostable can replace normal tape in packaging. In fact, its biodegradability and compostability do not reduce its strength and toughness. You can easily use it with any corrugated box. If those cardboards can bear your heavy product, then our compostable tape can be used for sealing those packages. This eco-friendly tape can be used also for packing machine like PVC tape.
How sustainable is our Eco Tape Compostable?
Firstly, it is produced with natural and renewable materials. The transparent film is made of polylactide (also known as Polylactic acid) obtained from corn, sugar beet or sugar cane. For that reason, it is named as PLA film. The adhesive is made from natural rubber to make sure that the tape is plant-based, no fossil fuel used along the production chain.
The other point is its possibility for waste treatment. This tape can be thermally recycled to produce energy for heating purpose. Or else, it could be disposed with other plastics for recycling into the new resin. But even if it is not collected for professional waste treatment, our Eco Tape Compostable, as shown in its name, can be composted together with other organic substances to feed your trees.
