- Using Cardboard Boxes to repair your roof
Did you lose a shingle in
that last thunderstorm?
As a temporary yet effective solution, you may slip a
piece of cardboard into a plastic bag and slide it in the gap under the
remaining shingles on your roof! Replace (and recycle) as
needed.
- Recently moved and left with all the large cardboard packaging you purchased for the big day? Use them to store your tall garden or cleaning tools!
Feeling crafty? Turn empty
cardboard boxes into a sectioned storage
bin for your tall garden or cleaning tools. Create dividers to insert into the
boxes by cutting one box in appropriate measurements. Put one box on the floor
with the dividers left in. Use your new sustainable cardboard storage to store mops, brooms, hoes, rakes, and other
long-handled garden and cleaning tools.
- Protect Work Surfaces with Cardboard Boxes
Old packaging supplies can be used to prevent wear and tear. A flattened
large box is all you need to protect your kitchen countertop, bench,
table, or desk from ink, paint, glue, or nicks from knives and scissors!
- Use a Cardboard Box to Protect Your Fingers while Hammering
Before you start hammering,
make sure to stick the little nail through a small piece of thin cardboard.
After you are done use your healthy fingers to remove the cardboard!
- Prevent oil leaks in your garage floor using corrugated packaging
All you need to do is place
a few sheets of corrugated cardboard
on a tray and place the pan under your car’s drip. Put oats or cat litter into
the pan on top of the cardboard for
better absorption.
