Life Cycle Assessment could be understood as a standardized scientific method for systematic analyses and evaluation of the Life Cycle of a specific product, technology, service, or manufacturing process, according to PE Americas – a strategic consulting company in the field of sustainability.

Sometimes, LCA will result in the improvement and innovation for sustainability, and for that such innovation to be applied, another new Life Cycle Assessment procedure for it must be conducted from Step 1: Goal and Scope until step 4: Interpretation.
Life Cycle Assessment as a proof for eco-friendliness of Corrugated Packaging

Indeed, a Life Cycle Assessment of Corrugated Product in the US, implemented by the US National Council for Air and Stream Improvement (NCASI) and commissioned by Corrugated Packaging Alliance (CPA), showed positive statistics about the environmental indicator of corrugated product’s manufacture, usage, disposal and recycle. Their report showed that, between 2006 and 2010, the innovation in recycling and production, as well as the replacement of other materials by corrugated paper… have resulted in:
32% reduction in GHG Emissions
22% reduction in Eutrophication from Nutrient Discharge
14% reduction in Respiratory-related effects from particulate emissions
12% reduction in Fossil Fuel Depletion
